DEFLOCCULANT A15 Product Specifications of Deflocculant A15
As a new and efficient organosynthetic additive, deflocculant A15 is widely used all over the world in the production of superfine powder and ceramics. A15's properties equate it with Despex 115 made in Britain and is approved by Cf. Smith Company of England. It is manufactured in solely in our factory in China. For many years hundreds of imported production lines have made use of A15 and have achieved positive results. A15 has received favorable comments from experts at home and abroad and has received the "Achievement in Science and Technology" awards from the Government of Jiangsu Province.
A. Physical and Chemical Characteristics
Being an organosynthetic material, deflocculant A15 appears as a light yellow liquid with a slight odor of ammonia. It is free of metallic ions, has a density of about 1.05, a pH of about 9, is nonpoisonous, and is easily soluble in water. It can be completely decomposed by burning, and leaves no residue in the final product.
B. Applications
A15 is recommended to be used in a water-based, pH>=7 dispersing system with a high solid content.
1. A15 is a highly efficient milling aid in the preparation of superfine powder.
During wet milling of solid particles, add 0.1-0.8% of A15 into a solid or liquid system with a solid content of about 65%. The optimum concentration of A15 varies with dispersing materials, e.g., Al2O3??0.12%, ZrSiO3??0.35%, and soft magnetic powder??0.40%. The dispersing system will have the utmost mobility and the milling time can be shortened by about 35%. A15 is especially suitable in the preparation of highly pure superfine powder.
2. A15 is a highly efficient dispersing reagent in the preparation of ceramic slip with a high solid content.
a. In the preparation of ceramic slip for manufacturing special ceramics (i.e.,Fine ceramics,high-tech ceramics), industrial ceramics, or architectural ceramics by means of spray drying and isostatic pressing, add 0.1-0.8% (varying with composition of the slip) of A15. The slip with a high solid content (65% or so) will have the most mobility and stability. As a result, the water and energy consumption will be greatly reduced, and the equipment's production capacity will be increased significantly. Furthermore, it guarantees the high unanimity of granulation and prevents the final product from deforming or cracking.
b. In the preparations of ceramic slip for manufacturing industrial ceramics, sanitary ceramics and other domestic ceramics by means of pressure casting, add 0.25% of A15. The slip with a high solid content will have the most mobility and stability.The green bodies will be easily demolded, the life-span of molds will be prolonged, the drying time of green bodies will be shortened and the mechanical strength of green bodies will be increased. As a result, A15 effectively prevents the final product from deforming or cracking.
3. A15 is a highly effective plasticizer in the production of domestic ceramics and high-strength concrete by means of plastic pressing and centrifugal forming.
Adding 0.15% by weight of A15 into dry material will plasticize green bodies effectively, while reducing the water content and increasing the strength of green bodies. As a result, it prevents the final product form deforming or cracking. Adding 0.05-0.8% by weight of A15 into cement will produce fresh concrete with good plasticity which can easily be used in centrifugal forming. The water consumption will be greatly reduced and the final product will have high strength.
C. Manipulations and Precautions.
1. Add proper amounts of water and A15 into mill or mixer first. After mixing, add dry materials quantitatively and mix continuously.
2. A15 is sensitive to free polyvalence metallic ions. To achieve the optimum performance of A15, usage of highly mineralized natural water should be avoided.
D. Packaging, Storage and Handling
A15 is packed in metal drums with a plastic lining (110 lbs per drum) or according to the customer's request. The product is stable if stored at room temperature and kept sealed. Handle A15 as a non-dangerous chemical.
 
DEFLOCCULANT AN36 Product Specifications of Deflocculant AN36
As a new and efficient synthetic additive, deflocculant AN36 is widely used in the production of powder and bulk solids as well as ceramics. For many years the outstanding performance of AN36 has been well recognized by both domestic and foreign experts. It is manufactured solely in our factory in China.
A. Physical and Chemical Characteristics
AN36 appears as a yellow oily liquid with a slight odor of ammonia. It is easily soluble in water with pH about 10 and is nonpoisonous. There is about 20% of white residue after burning.
B. Applications.
AN36 is recommended to be used in a water-based, pH>=7 dispersing system with a high solid content.

1. Add proper amounts of water and AN36 into mill or mixer first. After mixing, add dry materials quantitatively and mix continuously.
2. AN36 is sensitive to free polyvalence metallic ions. To achieve the optimum performance of AN36, usage of highly mineralized natural water should be avoided.
3. If precipitation occurs, re suspends AN36 by shaking before use.
D. Packaging, Storage and Handling
AN36 is packed in metal drums with a plastic lining (100 lbs per drum) or according to the customer's request. The product is stable within 12 months if stored at room temperature and kept sealed. Handle AN36 as a non-dangerous chemical.
